No Advertisements
TribalPages places its sponsors' advertisements on Free Sites. Standard and Premium sites will not have any advertising.
Backup and Download
Don't lose you data. Make a backup of your site and download it to your computer. You can then restore your site from your backup at any time. This feature is not available to "Free Sites" but is enabled in Standard and Premium upgrades. Backups are GEDCOM (a standard genealogy format) text files which you can import back into TribalPages or any of the several applications that accept GEDCOM files.
Number of Photos
Free sites are limited to 50 pictures. Standard sites can hold up to 250 pictures while Premium sites can store 1000 high resolution pictures. Deluxe sites can have up to 5000 pictures.
 Printable Charts
Printable charts are high quality charts (PDF files) that can be downloaded and printed in any size, from standard A4 size paper to 2'x3' poster size. Your site can generate these PDF Charts for any name in your tree. This feature is only available to Standard and Premium sites. Standard sites are limited to 5 Generation charts, however Premium sites get 7 and 9 Generation charts too. Click the following links to see some samples:

Address Book
You can enter various contact information like address, email and phone numbers and they will be added to your Address Book under "Tools" in your site. This feature is available to Standard and Premium sites.
Connections
Find out if you have common ancestors with any of the other 150,000 sites on Tribalpages.
Ancestor Charts
Standard and Premium sites can view Ancestors Charts with upto 7 Generations (127 ancestors) in one page. Free Sites are limited to 5 Generations (31 ancestors)
Ahnentafel Reports
The Ahnentafel Report is a listing of one's ancestors, numbered according to generation. Free sites are limited to a maximum of 10 Genations in each report. Standard and Premium sites get 20 Generations.
Online Resolution
If the photo you upload is larger than 780x600 pixels, TribalPages will automatically resize the online version of the photo to 780x600. This resolution is sufficient for only an average quality 4"x6" print. Goods quality and larger prints require higher resolution. Standard and Premium sites have more choices in the resolution that TribalPages uses to store pictures online. These high resolution pictures are not only better to look at but enable you to print larger and clearer images.
Individual Notes - Word Limit
You can enter some text about each individual in your tree. For free sites this is limited to 500 words. Standard sites have this limit set at 1000 words, and Premium 2500 words.
Custom Events
Create your own custom events! In addition to the standard events like Birth, Death, Burial etc, you can define your own custom events like Graduation, Engagement or whatever you like.
Search Ranking
Visitors and Members can search TribalPages for names. All the sites that contain the name will be listed. Premium sites are listed first, then Standard sites, followed by Free sites. The higher the ranking, the more likely that visitors, researchers and "lost" relatives can find your site. Note: only sites that have set their directory listing option to "yes" will be listed in the search results. Also, if you have not set a visitor password, they can browse your tree.
