My wife's Howard family are centered on Lydiard Millicent and Swindon in Wiltshire. I have managed to identify most but I have found a reference to a William Howard who married 14 May 1818, Mary Ann Edwards, born 1800, daughter of John Edwards and Edith Packer. They had a daughter, Edith Edwards Howard, born in Lydiard Millicent in 1819 who changed her given name to Tabitha and married in 1841 in Westminster,London, Thomas Edwards (no relative). Does anyone know the background of this William Howard. Working from New Zealand it limits my ability to access original records and any help would be greatly appreciated.
