Edward Homer (1815-75) died at the Sedgley Union House on 5th May 1875. He was at home (Elbow St, Rowley Regis) with wife Phebe in 1871. I am looking for transcript or better of Edward's admission some time between the census and his death. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Chris

Hi Janet

The Admission & Discharge Register 1865 - 1867 for Dudley Union Workhouse

is available at the Coseley archives, I can't say if they have been

Microfilmed but I did look through this particular book some time ago (1976)

as my 4 x grandfather Benjamin Naylor was admitted there in 1866 and died in

1869, however the register that covered the period 1867 - 1869 was missing.

Having spent some time trawling through St Peters - Upper Gornal Registers

there are quite a few entries for burials were the person had died in the

Workhouse.
