About River Twine Holt genealogy
The genealogy site is for the River Twine Holt, an active ElfQuest fan club (www.rivertwine.com for more information).

The first generation actively used healing magic to reproduce rapidly; the great majority of births in following generations take place due to Recognition. Due to Recognition, there is no risk of interbreeding when two first or second cousins reproduce; there are no taboos in wolfrider culture against first & second cousins lifemating or producing children.

It is assumed that young elves reach sexual maturity in their early 20s and remain productively viable for many centuries. Generational ranking dependent on mother; some generational mixing is to be expected, considering the length of elven lives. Elf generations are fluid, and it is common to have three or more generations alive at the same time.

The default reference of "marriage" should always be assumed to mean a Recognized pair who have decided to lifemate. Recognition does not immediately mean a lifemating occurs, however.

Individuals born outside of Recognition after the 1st Generation are very rare. Twins have never taken place in the memory of the tribe.
