Hi, I emailed support on 1-31-18 that my Mom had passed away and she was the admin for our tree and I was asking for admin access. No response yet. Any help would be appreciated as the family would like to include the tree in remembering her.

Thanks :-)

Hi David,

Can't help, but sincere condolences on the loss of your mum. Food for thought for others. Not wishing to be morbid, but I have a file containing important information should I be "out of action" for any period of time. Something I think most of us neglect and it was only brought to mind by the recent death of a close friend and I witnessed first hand the problems that generated (eg banking, etc.)

Regards,

Ian Marr

A good point Ian. I have told one of my daughters where to find details of some of my passwords. That was a long time ago. I must remind her about that and update some . Thanks for jogging my memory.

Thanks Ian, I did something like that, gave all of my passwords to my best friend "just in case." I need to update it though.

David, if you know your Mum's password and can use her computer you may be able to make the change you want. Go to edit > dashboard > change main person. You will see what can be done.

Unfortunately I have no idea what her password might have been. I still have not received an answer from support. I saw that they did something like this for someone else previously though so it should be no big deal, they just have toi reply LOL.

Rest assured they will eventually respond. They need to have a record so that the yearly fees get paid also! lol

So sorry for your loss.

I made one of my nephews an admin for my site and told him why. His dad (my brother) passed away suddenly at the young age of 83. It made me realize that we all are mortal and need to plan accordingly.

Again, sorry for your loss.

Pat
