Search Displays Info on Living People

I have noticed that if the general public searches for a name on the home page of someone's family tree, it will display living people (using autofill) as I fill in the name.

In other words, it is showing information (names and birth years) to the general public for living people, when that information should be private.

FYI: For my tree, I have setup a custom privacy level, and the only thing that I allow non-members is to view "Deceased Relatives". But the general public can still see this information, regardless of the setup preferences.

This seems to be a serious bug (since it deals with personal information for living people). Please have the developers please fix this ASAP.

That is probably a tall order - you are asking for an autofill to be able to discern between different, possible answers. Autofill is pretty dumb. I doubt (someone please correct me if I am wrong) if autofill in any software product would have that capability.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. It looks like they are using Ajax and jQuery for autofill. They should easily be able to apply a filter to their query on the server side.

And there is already a field that indicates whether a person is alive or not. All they would have to do is filter using that field.
