Dead owner

Hi, the owner of the Montilla Family tree, my mother's cousin, died some months ago.

How do we transfer ownership to the next highest ranking admin/moderator?

HI

I believe the way you could do this is by clicking on "My Account' at the top of the screen. You should see your Tribal Page site below and to the right a list of options one of which is 'Transfer'

Can I point out to anyone reading this thread that the advice given by Malc should only be followed AFTER a person dies (although how anyone other than the deceased person will know the Password required to complete the action is a mystery)

I thought this was something I could do now that would ensure my son would be contacted and be offered ownership in the event of my death...

So I just followed the advice of putting my son's email address on several of my Trees, because in the event of my death I would want them transferred to him - BUT I immediately lost my ownership of those sites.

I thought this was a way to set up transfer in the event of my death - not for now!

Fortunately I can ask him to transfer them back tomorrow - I hope!!!

AND I hope my Membership Fees still stand!

Well, you could always add your TB password to a document that is passed to your son upon your demise.

Malc,

To repeat the owner of the website has already died. We do not have access to the password.

We've been emailing TribalPages about this problem without any reply from anyone of us.
