PROFILE INFO CUT SHORT!

I am so upset that my website is losing precious information from my relatives profiles - for example - the last verse of a Poem I wrote when my 'Mum' died (the lady that looked after me from 3 months old - not my blood mother who became a missing person). I am so upset, because I store all my family information on Tribal Pages and I pay for the Deluxe Website (expires 10 Feb 2022) So WHY is this very important information suddenly missing???

I am a mixture of very angry and devastated!

Have you cut down the amount of info we can add to profiles?

I have such a complicated background with many changes of name and broken relationships - Note I am already using 2 profiles for some people including myself - and also my Great Grandfather who is Frederick James Hutchins AND Fred Leighton (a fictitious Stage Name he used that has become the surname of about 14 descendants - including me and my half-sister- Leighton.

Can you restore all this lost information or is it lost forever?

I have hunted through all my papers and fortunately found that poem that I wrote for my 'Mum'

- Valerie Elsie Sargent b. 7-4-24 d. 24-7-89

PLEASE ADD THESE WORDS (& html) AT THE END

(AFTER 'we'd have a chat and a cup of tea')

" Come on Lind " I'd hear you say

"Cheer up - Life's not so bad today"

and now you're gone, and I'm still here

I love you so much Mother dear. </center></b>

Sadly a family member who is now deceased added another verse onto the end of this poem that has also been deleted... AND I have NO COPY of that - so if the info cannot be restored - those precious words will e lost forever.

Obviously with over 25,000 profiles I cannot check them all and if any other info or research notes are missing from other profiles - I doubt that I have notes elsewhere to recover it.

The only reason I opened my Mum's (Valerie Elsie Sargent) profile was that I noticed a small spelling mistake - I cannot even remember were that was now - I feel so distressed about this!

PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO RESTORE THE INFORMATION ON ALL PROFILES ON MY WEBSITE ASAP.

Try to enter Edit / Write introduction as Admin.

There should be access to previously saved content.

I have the same problem and got the intro back.

Technical support on this site does not seem to exist. I don't know if there is anybody besides the accountant.

Oh, don't forget to back up your data as a Gedcom file. While you are still able to do it :).

Greetings from Warsaw.

Roman

Hi Roman,

Thanks for your response - it is good to get a response - especially as responses from the Tribal Pages Customer Care Team seem to be non-existent!

There is no problem with the website intro. The issue is that the content on profiles is missing - one specifically is the profile of the lady that I called Mum who brought me up from three months old in the absence of my parents. A poem I wrote shortly after her death has been cut short - the entire last verse is missing and I have tried to add it back, but it will not save - and this issue is not because there are too many words if it is included. I pay for the Deluxe site and this should enable more to be added under her name. In fact for the last ten years there has been more words under her name - and they have remained unchanged until recently.

I am very upset and want this change turned around asap.

I have always saved Gedcom files regularly - though not every time I save the Tree content. However, I cannot just upload the more complete gedcom or I will lose all the hundreds of photographs and documents I have added over the years.

Hopefully I will get a response from the Admin Team or the Customer Care Team or the Owner of Tribal Pages soon, as my TP Family Tree is very precious to me, because it is the most complete record of all the Family History research, Genealogical matches along with DNA verification results that I have.

Thanks again for your concern Roman of Warsaw - your remarks and suggestions are appreciated; however I think this issue needs the technical help that only the Tribal Pages Technical Team can resolve.

Kind regards,

Linda from England, UK

I did reply immediately to you Roman, but I see that over 2 weeks later that my reply has still not been posted on this thread.

I hope you got my reply to your email.

Will this reply get to you or to this thread???

I hope so, but I certainly won't be holding my breath!
