Hello everyone, I am still searching for my elusive John Henry Anderson born 1846 in Kentucky. like I said before he had a brother named William who was living with two sisters when their brother came home and shot William. our DNA links us to Keziah "Cuzzie" Anderson and her son William "Billy" Cole/Anderson. Does this sound familiar to anyone.... Also we are dark skinned people.

First I would like to thank you so much for the information BUT my John Henry is still illusive. He was born 1846 in Kentucky (according to marriage license) passed away 1903-04. We are very dark people. John did have a brother named William "Bill" whom was living with two sisters when their brother came home, did not like Bill living there and shot Bill. Bill was fixing a wagon at the time. Bill crawled under the porch to get away from the brother and passed away. John's wife Margaret Ann Garrett (mothers maiden name, Margaret was born out of wedlock). Her mother Amanda Garrett later married Irvine Ross sometimes Margaret used the last name Ross. The Family lived in Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee and Oklahoma. Margaret was born in Georgia 1865. Our John was not a minister. Thank you very much for looking for me. Have a great day.

Yes Sir I did read the bottom where you have him with his children. That is the only information we have. We had our DNA done and we match Keziah "Cuzzie" Anderson and her son William "Billy" Cole/Anderson like 25 matches. Ancestry has told me we belong in the Cole genealogy but as of today no one has made the connection. Researchers believe we are from the Granville Co. N.C. Andersons who were freed by their owner John Fulcher??? I would like to thank you for all of your responses to my posts and your help you are very kind. Well off to genealogy land to keep looking. THANKS AGAIN! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

I don't put a lot into the DNA results. All it is telling you is where the majority of your DNA matches ended up, not where they originated.

Matching DNA to them would mean they would have to have their DNA? How did they do that? Certainly they didn't dig them up, right?

So who are they matching the DNA against?

Cole family members?

Anderson family members?

Just trying to understand from what I am reading???

Just wondering how they were able to base results off of William Anderson Cole or kuzzie Anderson?

When did DNA testing begin vs how long they have been dead and buried
