Finding my ancestor

I have a missing link in my genealogy which I am hoping to get some help with. My great great grandfather was George Senft according to information from his son, Christian, my great grandfather. I have a record of his arrival in 1850 and his intention to move to Williamsburg, PA. I also have a record in the western court of Pennsylvania where he revoked his allegiance to the king of Bavaria so at one time he was a citizen of Bavaria in October of 1850. Christian was born in January of 1851 and George seems to have disappeared. My great great grandmother (Anna Dorothea Fisher) appears in the 1860 census of Blair County PA with 3 additional children and married to a John Helwig (Helling) in the census. It appears that John was a civil war casualty and the family moved to Columbia, PA in Lancaster County. I do not know why they moved there. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is what I found:

First, the Civil War didn't start until 1861, so if he died before 1860, he probably wasn't a Civil War casualty.

I only found one George Senft on Ancestry.com. The following is what I found:

He is found in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 US Census records.

BTW: I have photos of George and his son Simon. I also have a photo of Dorothea Anna "Dora" Fisher. If you would like them let me know your email address.

This is a very confusing entry. On Georges entry, it only shows his son Simon with no wife. In Simons entry there is a 'mother' entry of:

Elizabeth Keever

Birth 03 FEB 1834 • Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania

Death 4 NOV 1871 • Saltillo, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, USA

I found no entry for Anna Dorothea Fisher as a wife.

BUT SEE NEXT ENTRY FROM ME!!!!

These persons are not my relation. I am aware of George V Senft and am sure he is not my George. The other one is not related either.

However,

Please send me the photos and Thanks for the information.

Apparently the George I sent you may not the George we are looking for, IF this is his wife Dorthea.

I do have this Dortheas photo.

Christians entry shows 19 children.

Let me know your thoughts on what I've sent you.

Christian is my great grandfather. However, there were definitely only 17 in the family. Two died as infants. I have his handwritten birth records for all of them. All the other information matches with what I have. My problem is with George. The 1851 death date seems possible since Christian was born in January 1851. Where did you get the death date????

Oh, thanks for the contact

Hello Robert. I was incorrect about George Senft. He is almost certainly my gg grandfather. What confused me was (and is) why he split with Anna/Dora/Dorothea. I wish to communicate with you further if possible.
