I'm at my wit's end trying to break down this brick wall. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
Kind of hard to lookup anything without a name.
I don't think this will come out quite right, so please forgive me if it sounds rude?
I would like to research myself, as I tend to feel like others may believe I am asking them to do my work for me.
However, I can also see why you would like to have name and dates, so here it is:
Her name is Ann Tuttle, born McElroy. She was born approximately 1806 in either Maine or Nova Scotia (I believe the 1865 Massachusetts state census stated Liverpool, NS as her birthplace but it could have been the 1855 state census instead). In either August or September 1833, she married James Tuttle in Somerset, Massachusetts. They had 5 natural children: James Edwin, 1836-1854; Eliza Bracket, 1838-1854; William Francis, 1840-1931; Lydia Ann Turner, 1843-1849; and an adopted daughter, Harriet 1843-?? (She only appears in the 1855 census in the household, age approx. 12 or 13).
According to the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses, she was born in Maine. According to the 1855 & 1865 Massachusetts state censuses, she was born in Nova Scotia.
After my 2x g grandfather, William F. Tuttle married Eliza M. (Lizzie M.) Sawyer Jan. 1866 in Massachusetts, the entire family relocated to Richland Center, Richland, WI where Ann died in August 1874 and James passed 14 October 1881.
I have looked on familysearch, ancestry, posted messages on various sites, forums, googled, tried to find an obituary for her in Richland Center from 1874... No luck.
