Looking for any information on a slave named Somersitt Jones from Craven county , NC. I know he was a slave of Evan Jones and I found him with Mr Jones in 1751. I would like to know if anyone knows how and where Mr Jones got his slaves. I know what happens to him after 1751 ..hence..(ME..direct descendant).. Anyone know of slave ports in that area?

I wish I could help but please let me know if you find out. I know there were Slaves in New Bern, North Carolina. There were plantations all over North Carolina.
