I am trying to bridge a gap in a family tree branch: Holderness of Osbournby, Lincolnshire. Between the burial in 1605 of Richard Holderness and the marriage in 1688 of Thomas Holderness and Lucy Parker there is an information gap of 83 years. I have tried searching "Lincs With The Past", "Family Search", Rootsweb and several others with no success. I think the problem may be to do with the chaos of the Civil War, but between parish records and Bishops' Transcripts, something may have survived. Can anyone help me please? I live in New Zealand, so it is very difficult to source original material and any information would be gratefully received.

widen you search on familysearch there are 4,143 results for the name Holderness born between 1560-1688, I suggest you make a database of them starting with the Lincolnshire ones, individual persons their father, mother,, spouse, date of birth, you then can manipulate the database and find the information you are looking for. (you are lucky your name is not Smith) lots of luck Graham
